about the pendants

painted with love …

Each pendant is made from fallen timber collected on my rural bush property. They are carefully shaped, sanded and intricately painted by hand. The artwork is then sealed with tung oil and allowed to dry for a month. The necklaces are macrame knotted pure cotton thread, with either bush twig beads or glass beads. Wildwood Pendants are little expressions of my view of the birds that inhabit the land around me. The entire process, from collecting the wood, refining and sanding to painting, brings me great joy.
